After having had a Krups bean to cup before which had come into age I decided it was time to get a new one. Went through lots of reviews and purchased initially a Siemens EQ700. A very good machine but unfortunately not for me. Main differences - plastic removable brewing unit which does require regular cleaning . The Krups has got a fixed metal brewing unit which you can't take out and is self cleaning - due to above the coffee does not get quite as hot as I like it
